Lyon is a great city for a short break. Here are a few things happening in June and some links to find out more or to book accommodation:
From June 5th until August 1st visit the Nuits de Fourvieres Arts Festival. This is a programme of rich and varied theatrical and musical events held in the region's Antique Gallo-roman theatres - built by Augustus in 15 BC, they are some of the oldest antique theatres in France. Or go to the newly re-opened Museum Gadagne with its amazing display of puppetry. For this and more things to do in Lyon visit the Lyon Tourist website.
There is a wide variety of hotels in Lyon, ranging from budget to 5 star opulence. And Lyon is considered by many to be the gastronomic capital of France.
