Holidays in Germany

How about Germany for a few days? It's easy to reach by car, just a days drive from Calais or Dunkirk, or you could take the ferry from Hull to Rotterdam and drive through the Netherlands for a few hours. Germany offers pretty much everything, except perhaps warm sea. There are medieval towns like Augsburg, modern cities such as Berlin, Hamburg or Frankfurt, and countless kilometres of forests, hills and lakes, great for activity holidays of all kinds.

For a huge variety of different ideas, with events and cultural activities, visit the German National Tourist Office website.
The Drive-Alive website tells you all you need to know to book ferries, and you can book hotels in Germany and search and book hundreds of self-catering properties throughout Germany as well.
